Our story

Hi, I'm Danni and I am the owner and founder of Happy Eating House.

Being Chinese (born in South Africa), food has always been a huge part of my life. I learned to cook from a young age, always helping my Mum in the kitchen preparing family meals to great big feasts enjoyed with loved ones. Chinese food is and will always be my favourite cuisine and I love to cook it at home having learned from my Mum. However, I’ve always found that many of the ingredients available tended to be imported and contained many artificial preservatives, colours and flavourings. And unlike French, Spanish, Italian and British cuisine, there seemed to no artisan alternative products to buy. So after a brief foray into the world of supper clubs, I decided to launch my own range of Chinese sauces and condiments. All 100% free of artificial preservatives, colours and flavourings. Just made with natural ingredients and love.

Our new range includes Black Bean Sauce, Chiu Chow Chilli Oil, and Hoisin sauce, with hopefully more to come in the future! We are always working on our recipes and looking to source the finest ingredients where possible.
