Our story

Hi, I'm Danni and I am the founder and owner of Happy Eating House.

Being Chinese (born in South Africa), food has always been a huge part of my life. I learned to cook from a young age, always helping my Mum in the kitchen preparing family meals to great big feasts enjoyed with loved ones. Over the years I have become more aware of the food I am eating as I truly believe that food is medicine and I try to make an effort to eat organic, local or seasonal food where possible. Chinese food will always be my favourite cuisine and I love to cook it at home, however I’ve always noticed that the ingredients I need can only be found in Asian supermarkets where the goods are usually imported, contain preservatives and MSG. So after a brief foray into the world of supper clubs, I’ve decided to launch my own range of Chinese sauces and condiments. All 100% free of all the nasties - no MSG, no preservatives and no flavour enhancers. Just made with love and happiness.

Our new range includes Black Bean Sauce, Chiu Chow Chilli Oil, and Hoisin sauce, with hopefully more to come in the future! We are always working on our recipes and looking to source the finest ingredients where possible.
